PhD candidate at the Food Science and Technology Department of the University of the Peloponnese

Natalia-Tereza Tsoungou is a PhD student in the Department of Food Science & Technology of the University of Peloponnese (2021). Her doctoral research is focused on the microbial ecosystem of PDO "Sfela" cheese. She accomplished her undergraduate studies at the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition of the Agricultural University of Athens (2020). She attained an oenologist certificate along with certifications in ISO 22000:2005 and ISO 9001:2015 from the same university. She completed her internship at the Andalusian Institute of Agricultural and Fisheries Research and Training (IFAPA) in Spain and conducted her thesis research titled "Response of Listeria monocytogenes to Hyper-Osmotic Conditions of Salt and Sorbitol" under the supervision of the Laboratory of Quality Control & Hygiene of Food and Beverages of the Agricultural University of Athens. During this period, she participated in the research "Investigation of Lithological Environment Cleaning and Petralona Cave Deodorization in Halkidiki" which was carried out within the same laboratory. Furthermore, she has participated in scientific conferences, where she presented her findings through poster presentations.
