PhD candidate at the Department of Food Science and Technology of the University of Peloponnese

Anastasios Tsoungos is a PhD student at the Department of Food Science and Technology of the University of Peloponnese. His doctoral research is focused on the study of the microbial system of the PDO Kalamata table olive. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Department of Biotechnology at the Agricultural University of Athens in 2020. He completed his internship at the laboratories of Plant Physiology and Phytopathology of the Agricultural University of Athens. His thesis was conducted at the Department of Phytopathology of the Agricultural University of Athens, titled "Biological Control of the plant pathogenic bacterium Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato using phytoprotective microorganisms." Furthermore, he has participated in poster presentations at international and national scientific conferences.
